Umineko Foreshadowing – Fear The Cake

I’m not kidding. Just priceless. Ryukishi07 is no stranger to humor as everyone knows and does he love foreshadowing. Actually, there’s so many foreshadowing in the story probably that there’s a counter for every argument out there that to find them we’d only had to replay the past games.

Legend of the Golden Witch

The conversation that takes place in this part is about Kinzo’s inheritance and Eva mentions it that it isn’t as easy to distribute it as a cutting a cake in equal parts (like that “cheese problem”, remember?)

This was just too funny taking in consideration that the said Cake that EVA Beatrice drops on Rosa and Maria was mentioned in EP1. How exactly does this even correlate to the mystery? We’d had to be taking everything literally so imply that Eva or Rudolf killed Rosa since they’re the ones who mention it. This, however, is just so plainly direct that fails as a valid argument.

Banquet of the Golden Witch

Funny enough, as evidence goes, Rosa (and Maria) are killed by said CAKE EVA B drops on them. It wasn’t of course her birthday at all, maybe it’d be symbolizes the day she reappeared in Eva’s mind as the Witch.

Actually, the most amusing thing is that Rosa was previously discussing about the inheritance with Eva and how they should take the siblings that Eva found the gold. This, however, never materialized as she along with Maria were killed in the rose Garden EP3.

Huh, EVA-B and Ronove. A woman and a man.

How does being “plainly direct” void something as a valid argument?

Also, the cake only said “HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVA-BEATRICE” in the anime, so it has no significance.

Either way, this isn’t foreshadowing of any kind, considering you forgot to account for the jello.
